Whitestone uv glass protector is down to under 30 in some places now. You should go that route. It's the only "perfect fit" option for note 8 glass protector. Did mine last week and it's perfect.
Also you have the tray jig and if light to try to use with generic protectors in the future.

Lol I lasted about two weeks with a wet apply. My choice was to go without it and buy insurance for the first time or get the whitestone.
maybe buy the light and glue separate and do a diy but at 30, try to think of the tray and light as worthwhile purchases too. the glass itself is the same as any generic I think.

I tried to use the little light as a reason to pay the $30 and then I told myself whatever, they probably spent a dollar to make these lol. Funny thing is I bought the S7 edge a year ago and after having it for a week I realized I was going to inevitably scratch the screen so I turned around and sold it right away. I loved the idea of an edge display but when I seen first hand how impossible it was to keep a protector on that puppy I sold it asap. I'm only making this exception because it is the note. I've been waiting for it for what feels like forever so even though their is that problem with protection I'm making an exception. I'll probably regret it later and then write Samsung an angry email about how they purposely made the screen this way just so it'll break but meh lol.
