It really wont, what you want are wrist straps, they are longer and stiffer. You can also find lifting gloves with wrist straps on them also good.

Damn, so these are just bracelets? lol greeeeat

Oh well, I got two so maybe doubling it up will help. I don't know, never used wrist supports before. Hell my left wrist (right is fine) never hurt when I was younger till now

sigh*.. Getting old is scary =/

Haha im pretty much in the same boat, everything hurts and the pain is not enjoyable as it once was. Its the bench press for me, so i bought some straps, they help manage the pain a ton but i had to stop lifting for a couple weeks.

The straps are a bit more rigid think canvas, they stabilize the wrist
