Good price.

You may have forgotten price in title, Kind of looks like the promo is "two free checked bags" lol Wink

Seriously, I thought that was the promo, and that Unites had taken their Basic Economy class one step too far, getting rid of free bags on overseas flights.

that's how they are promoting this but i put 'airfare sale' instead of "airfares".

i guess along with the low round trip price and two free checked bags, it is somewhat a significant saving. i have no clue how much each checked bag is worth.

IMHO for international the true deal is always the price. An extra bag is not much of a promo

About time. I have only flown with a carry on bag for decades. Why should I have to subsidize people that need to bring their kitchen sink with them whenever they travel?
You would have a point, if the Basic economy offered half decent seating and actually always stayed significantly cheaper

UA doesn't have "basic economy" on any international routes.... yet.

Don't international fares already cover 2 checked bags?

Now you can get 2 "free" meals too.

I fly with only a carry-on bag, too. Unfortunately, when UA introduced their Basic Economy product on domestic routes, they kept the fares the same. To get the "old" Economy product, we have to spend more now (usually about $20 each way), so we're not actually saving any money. Mad
