Please include with your other thread, don't start multiple threads for the same deal/coupon/offer.

As with everything in life, it is difficult to keep everyone happy. Members have asked for more ideas as some of the other items featured have not appealed to them, and they do not have time to search the Sears site to try to find out which items are working for this offer. I have done 2 threads for men, one for women and one for kids items. I am now done, lol. Happy shopping

Maybe, but it's more important to follow the rules of the board - what you are doing is not allowed.

As a practical matter, you might as well post them in the same thread to start, since the mods will combine the threads anyway as people flag them as reposts.

What else are eligible besides these coats and snow pants? Which brand are included?

What exactly is not allowed here? If they are different items, as far as I know its not a "repost". I have posted a few deals myself, and I know I wouldnt look in a mens craftsman coat thread for differently branded kids snowpants and jackets.....

Anybody know if I would still get cash back if paying with a Sears gift card?

I would certainly think so. A gift card should be the same as cash.

Starting multiple different threads for the same offer. It's OK to list different ways to use an offer in the same thread, just not OK to start multiple threads for the same offer (.e.g. "Members get $50 CASHBACK in points when you spend $50 or more on an Apparel purchase at Sears." is the offer).

Basically it's a form of spam or rep shilling.

It depends on the specific type of gift card, but generally no, as a gift card is considered a coupon or "offer".

Oh my- I think you need to recheck the rule book. $50 cashback on points when you spend $50 on apparel would be great if Sears wasnt so hard to search for in-stock and all sizes available kind of deals. And some items are on sale, some arent. I found a great deal there on Dockers pants for $10. 5 pair of Dockers pants + $50 in points would be a much better deal than one $65 pair with $50 in points, no? That's why individual deals are important. But none of the pants were available for shipping, and none within any driving distance of anywhere. You need individual deals for just about every sale, otherwise so much gets missed. And for those willing to tolerate searching a site like sears, more power to them.

kind of like buying a $50 Sears gift card with a short expiration date which comes with a really puffy coat.

Is there a way to extend the expiration date for these points?

Can the points be used to purchase gift cards?

Sorry, they are not important at all, and are not within the rules. Perhaps you should read the rules.

If you can't figure out how to find sale things that work at Sears, maybe you should not be shopping there. I mean, it's so easy, no one should need "hand holding".
Though this deal is now dead since most of the items in the OP no longer have the $50 back on them, I'm going to clarify the rules a bit Smilie

From the rules/FAQ thread in HD
"Guidelines on Reposts
This is a deal site and people come here for the great deals. It is in the best interest of everyone that good deals get highlighted. Deals that get merged into giant and general threads tend to get buried where no one will find it. Therefore, deals that we (moderators and/or majority of users) think are good will be kept separate from general sales and master threads. We will also take time stamps into account when merging threads so if the original post is very old, it's less likely we will merge."

What this means, basically, is if say a user posts a deal for the Kohl's site wide 30% or 20% off type codes, and then another user posts a deal for a men's jacket for $10 using those codes, then those are considered two separate deals. One is general, the other is for specific item. We do not merge those.

In this case, the deal here was for those specific items that just happened to also be part of the general spend $50 get $50 back deal. So since specific items, it does not get merged into a general site deal.

Now if this OP had only posted the main buy $50 get $50 back and that's it, then yes it would have been merged into the main thread for that same general deal. But they were posting specific items, so it is not considered a repost of the main general deal.
