I wish this was the S7 Edge and other stores would price match. how long do you have to be with Boost for them to unlock this phone? what other carriers will this phone work with after you unlock it?

The pre-owned Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is $229.99. I just don't know the quality of their pre-owned.

No boost mobile phones are lock down for 12 months. They are low for a reason because they are subsidized you can only use it on Boost Mobile

If you just need at&t or T-Mobile service you might as well get the Walmart Moto e4 from Verizon prepaid for $40 and spend $2 to unlock it on ebay.

I'd be all over an S7 but the unlocking for Sprint/Boost models requires the unlocker to have access to your PC and unlock the phone remotely.

Pass.

In case any one was wondering:
I bought this phone, unlocked it for $15. It is now a new S7 on T-mobile network. Unlock did not require root, and since I never activated with boost sim - I did not get any bloatware. Samsung pay works.

Will flash later T-mobile version of S7 firmware for VoLTE on band 12 and WiFi calling. These are the only 2 features that I am missing if comparing to buying new S7 from T-mobile. T-mobile did not release yet the firmware that matches the one on this phone. I assume I will have to wait 1-3 months

I was also paranoid about giving acces to my pc. I set an old PC box, loaded a good antivirus/firewall ... But the guy ended up using USB redirector which essentially only gave him acces to device in USB port that was specified by me.
