Wow! You are right. I missed that detail. I will add that I got this kit with batteries (extra tool excluded) for $100 on clearance, which was worthwhile. I would not pay more than that for the main kit.

I was able to get the tool only version of the 4 in 1 for $90. Even then, it felt too expensive. So it's really about what your needs are. This replaced my brushed M12 screwdriver. I am happy with my purchase overall.

On no planet is this a deal. Base tool is $179 *MSRP*. 2x 2Ah batteries are NOT worth $60. We've seen plenty of deals with a 5Ah under $200. Hack has routinely brought this down to around $100 for the tool. HD MSRP's this at $400 bc the retail for 2x 2Ah w/ charger is *$219.* This is the opposite of "slick."

EDIT: Yep. Totally missed the free tool. My bad. Good deal, lol

OP should add "hackable" to the title. It seems people don't read detail and rush to bash it.

The "hack" still works? Recently? This is a great deal, if so.

Nice tool but as many reviewers point out the forward reverse switch is electronic and located on the top inconveniently. Hard to switch directions with one hand. Other than that fact I love it!

Us lefties appreciate that. The "normal" F/R switch is really a pita for me, accidentally switching to reverse a lot.

Me too, after getting the brushless Bosch Chamelion or flexclick, whatever they call it now, the Milwaukee Installation driver sits in the tool chest, will probably sell it.

I love the Milwaukee Fuel M12 line, but the Installation driver just misses the mark compared to the Bosch. Bosch is smaller, better forward reverse switch placement, and the attachments are better thought out.

Ive had this for a couple years now and its my goto unless its a heavy job needing the m18 power. Im sure other brands compare but if you're in the m12 ecosystem its a solid tool.
