So tempting! But I'm in a Makita battery ecosystem.

Got this deal a few weeks ago, only my second M12 tool (first was a small recip saw) after having 20-30 M18 tools. I was on the fence but I read such good comments here I went for it. I originally thought it would be great for my wife for her projects, but I've since found it's my go-to instead of the M18 hammer drill or M18 impact. It's got way more torque than I imagined and is super lightweight.

I've installed new vinyl siding, new vinyl windows, screwed down some deck boards, and hung drywall with ease.

The final tests which passed with flying colors were sistering some 2x4 studs for sheet rock butt joints. It sunk those new studs down way tighter than I even needed and still had some torque left. The right angle attachment made this laughably easy in the areas where I didn't have a full 14.5" space to work with.

I even drilled several 3/4" holes with a screw point wood auger bit through 2 layers of 3/4" plywood. It would have been a little faster with the drill or impact, but it didn't disappoint and went right on through.

For 95% of homeowners doing DIY projects this tool would easily be better than buying a drill/impact combo. If you find yourself needing to drill holes in concrete or break some old bolts loose, then look at those tools.

Trust me, you will not regret this purchase.

Great price! Cool tool if you can get past the direction change button. I couldn't stand it. Wand that direction control right by the trigger so I can switch back and forth quickly and with one hand. Also wasn't a fan of the "D-handle" style grip. Moved over to the DeWalt multi-head tool since I already have a few 12V batteries and tools from them.

I bought this about a month ago, and it was working well until yesterday. Now the reverse and forward button wont work unless I take the battery out and put it back on and it's making a high pitched noise Frown
I'm not sure if I should go to Home Depot or deal with Milwaukee.

In my experience, it'll be easier if you can do an exchange at Home Depot.

If you go through Milwaukee, they may have you send the tool in for repair, in which case you'll be without your drill for awhile. Or, they may exchange it for a refurb which could be more banged up than your month old tool.

Thanks!! Is it up to 90 days from purchase with a receipt that I can exchange it? And did you need the original box?
