I think you order the kit and add the free tool then return or cancel the free tool and it comes out cheaper.

Basically (for example) you have a battery tool combo for let's say $200, and you get 30% off "the combo" so $140 out the door. Sometimes they'll itemize the receipt and it might say $70 for the battery and $70 for the tool. So if you return your (30% off) battery then you get to keep the tool for $70. So it's extra work/steps and you have to give up a discounted portion of your order to keep a DIFFERENT discounted portion of your order.... But OPs like writing "hack!!" in the title cuz it sounds special.

Order it through the link above, adding the ratchet as the free gift (largest value) and put both in cart. Then choose store pickup for the one you want to keep and free shipping for the item you don't want. Login and purchase, then go to your order history and cancel the ratchet shipment right away. You will have the item you want available in store pickup for the great price, no physical return needed.

You could also do the opposite (ship the item you want, neglect the in store pickup until it auto cancels) but that is pretty rude to waste the store employee's time and hold up storage space/inventory.

You can definitely have too many if you avail of too many deals. I have quite a few M18s and am hoping they eventually come out with a power center like DeWALT and Ego. Batteries do not last forever. They need to be used as well because stagnant batteries also have shorter life span. Don't fully discharge and don't overcharge. I use my batteries til they are down to 1 bar before recharging.

Those who let a store pickup order languish on the shelf are tying up inventory and possibly preventing others from getting in on the deal.

Please, if you're not going to pick up your order, then cancel it right away.
