Yes, Walmart's version (identical except for a one digit difference in model number) is on clearance for $348 in store only. Like my Best Buy post this is more helpful for those with no Walmarts around that have this in stock or those who can save on tax or use gift cards for Amazon.

Can't ever save on sales tax where I am, Amazon has lost a lot of sales from me since they started to charge it. Only newegg or ebay are left for me without any tax. I am still thinking about this one though, get this one now and maybe get a 2018 version later.

Yes the tax can be an issue. They do collect tax here in Colorado but unlike many states it is the state sales tax only. Colorado state sales tax is 2.9%, Colorado does their tax different than most states. If i buy instore it is 7.9% ...... State plus county and municipal tax. Amazon only has to collect the 2.9% .... so i buy large items online if i can to save the 5%

BH has stores in only... 2 states? Frequently electronics and such are on sale there - I wouldn't shy away from them.

This is a great price for a great 55" TV with these specs. Might not be a popular opinion, but I'd still go with a Samsung 6300 series for better bulk he quality and contrast (non IPS versions)

They announced they are collecting sales tax in all states now that have sales tax.

However, if a 3rd party seller, there may be no sales tax.

The 401 and 405 are the same TV. The last digit just signifies the distribution channel. You won't find a 401 at Target because that's the Walmart model. The only difference is what buttons are on the remote. Walmart would have a Vudu button.
