Just out of curiosity: Do the majority of SDers prefer the Original Line to Vertuoline or it is just me? I had the chance recently to try V. and the espresso I get from the Original line tasted better. Of course, the only reason I use Nespresso machines is that it is quicker and less messy to make a cup of cappuccino or espresso at work and compared to whatever Keurig produces is superior but that is really it.

As for this post, it looks a decent price. BTW, the capsule disposal system on this model is not well thought, just from the design point of view.

I have an original line nespresso, vut i have not used the Vline. I really enjoy my original line, and am curious about how the vline cups (which are approx half the size of the original line) stack up flavor-wise.... has anyone compared side-by-side vline to oline?

Just checked ebay, they're going for about the same price or less. Definitely nowhere near $475. I own an original Nespresso and it makes better lattes, americanos etc than Starbucks. Also don't forget about Affogatos. What did you call me??

For espresso only, just get the original line so you can get third party pods. I have the VLine, and it's great for coffee, but significantly more expensive. VLine does allow for flexibility though so you can make "espresso" style beverages as well.

I do agree with your point and yes, I do 3rd party pods and disposable ones. My question was mainly as for the quality of original mechanism vs. the centrifuge one in VLine. It did not seem to be an improvement to me and I wanted to check with others here.
Interesting enough, they released VLine first in the States before selling them in Europe which was very strange for me when I heard it in Vienna last summer.
I hope that they open more Nespresso Boutiques as the closest to me is 5 hours away. My second experience in their boutique was fantastic Wink

Yup, it was with the frother as well. I heard the older version was not hot but this vline one which I have isn't hot enough for my liking but everyone is different so

I picked up the Vertuoline about a month ago on a similar deal. If you want full cups of coffee, it's a better fit, although you can customize the cup size of the "normal line" to get more than just the normal espresso shot. The lack of third party pods on VLine mean you'll pay around $1 per coffee.

I like original line much more than vline.

I just use the little plastic insert from Amazon and refill a pod. I don't bother using the little filters with it and it turns out great.
