Dehumidifier is a bit misleading, since it is a desiccant, like Damp-Rid, but best part is when it fills up with water, plug it into an outlet for a few hours, and it works all over again!

There was no sign above them, just 5 cases of these units on the shelf. I put them in the cart, figuring I'd leave them if the price was too high once I got to the register, but at $18.99, too good to pass up. I actually considered going back for a couple more, but there was a long line waiting behind me, and I wasn't about to hold them up, nor go back around to get in line.
I already have a few of these but it would be pointless to use them in the same space that you plug them in to recharge then since the heat from recharging them releases all of the moisture back into the air.
So, when the units are full and you need to plug it in, has this to be outside? If inside, my concern that the water will be evaporated back...
I use it in our safe. It is fire rated therefore mostly sealed. It pulls the moisture out of the safe and keeps things from being damp or potentially rusting. Most places humidity in your house is going to be similar to outside. I live in Denver where it's dry. We have a whole house humidifier and keep the house at about 40% humidity. That being said, it's the difference of being in and out of your safe. So it is fine to plug it into a wall inside your house.

It just has to be in a place other than where it was absorbing. I use them in my safe and my closets, and then plug them in and let them recharge in my laundry room (where I have a regular dehumidifier). When you plug them in they heat up, so they won't start absorbing again until they cool down.
