Any one have experience with this garage door opener and/or the app that controls it? Is the app free and can you control your door when not on the same WiFi network?

I have the 1 HPS version of this with the battery backup and WiFi bridge. The app is free and simple to use.

Yes app is free. You can control it with any data like cell signal. It evens tells you in the app if your garage is up or down. Pretty handy if you think you left it open.

I was able to apply a 20 off of 150 SYW coupon that reduced the price to 159.99 but also reduced cashback to $48.

Yes app is free. I love the ability to open and close from my smartphone and alerts when open and close. I have a chamberlain model and love it. Needs a Wifi bridge ($50) for smartphone use. Decent deal but in November there was 1HP Craftsman with battery backup for same price. This doesn't appear to have battery backup. If you don't need it (like me) there is usually a deal late April-May for battery backup model to go about same price: but it's a gamble so it's really just, "do you want battery backup?"

At $150 according to other posts, it's and even better deal!

Got the 1hp model of this awhile back. I would recommend this one. Super quiet and the app has worked every time with no connectivity issues.

No. Even though this is basically a re-branded Chamberlain/Lift Master, the bridges are different and the craftsman won't work with any of the home automation systems. You can get a Chamberlain bridge to use with the Craftsman lift and it will work.

I have a chain one. Electrical wise, would this be a "simple swap" ? Or will I need to run extra/new electrical lines to the inside/outside door control?
