Nier is something else. It's an RPG without so much standing around and talking... the cutscenes are efficient and poignant. IMO, this is what Castlevania SOTN could have evolved into for the next generation, switching between 3d and 2d effortlessly, fast action, tremendous story... Nier has it all.

$24 is a steal, you won't find anything else like this game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is very worth this price. One of my favorites. I like Nier, but my sons favorite game.

2.8 is just the 3ds game and a technical demo of what KH3 will be like. The 3DS game was terrible. The new riding system is what does the most damage. So that all you'll ever do which is really boring, attacking and using elements just get you killed in hard mode.

If they ever brought 1.5+2.5 in 1 game on the switch. instant buy for me.

2.8 kind of sucks, but Dream Drop Distance does tie directly into KH3. Just buy a ton of drop-me-nots and power through it. Ignore any completionist tendency you may have and just get to the ending. Fragmentary passage is a technical mess and feels awful to play. 1.5+2.5 Remix is awesome, though.

I recently finished Nier Automata a couple days ago. It's my GOTY of 2017. It even beat out Persona 5 for me, which I absolutely loved. It's surprisingly thought-provoking, and the way the story unravels itself is just something you don't see very often in video games.
