Was looking for a printer, mx922 is the second Canon to have a printhead failure.

How does this compare? The generic inks seem more expensive than the mx922 inks.

What are the differences between the 460, 480, and 485 models, they looks the same

I had same situation. I purchased 480 at OD, due to my MX922 gone long.
480 and 485 are same. The difference is the retail channel.
I do not know about 460/nod

FYI, in my opinion, Brother support is not good at all. Unsolicited black line is scanned in certain situation, but it may not be a big problem.vomit

I have this printer, 2 years, and I drilled a hole in each ink cartridge and use a syringe to refill the ink.

Never paid for a cartridge and it works great. I only buy Brothers for this very reason. Also, it self cleans so I never have dry ink issues.

It also prints duplex, which I think is a minimum requirement for printers nowadays.
