This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Good morning, all!! Wave

Ariel, I hope you feel better soon!! Get that rest, girl!!

Yup. Five 12-packs for $15. Plus you get a $5 GC. There is a printable $1 Pepsi One coupon. I am going to try it in the morning, since I didn't get to Target today. So, if I can get 5 for $10, and a GC, I will be happy with that. nod

Printable [coupons.com]
Lucky! My stores don't carry the 12-pks anymore... Sadwalk

I did notice last night that I am down to 2 12 packs of Dr Pepper in the house EEK! Normally that would send off sirens, but I may have to actually cut all the soda out to see if that helps my tummy. Sadwalk I haven't had any since last night around 8 and my azz is dragging right now nod Oh well, only 2 more hours to go until I get to go home Smilie

I can't believe I got stuck in the Glade section (wait, I can soooo believe that LMAO) and forgot to hit the Pepsi deal! If my Qs come today, I'll hit it tonight...along with the Fusions...and Glade...again...

my best friend (*who is NOT a couponer* and doesn't understand the sweet siren song of the overage coupon Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)) shakes her head and says "she who dies with the most Glade wins....you'll win by a landslide" Teehee

Do we have a Walmart chit chat thread? I can't believe that so many people that took the survey in the thread in the lounge about whether or not Walmart is responsible for the crazed mob trampling that poor worker said no. This really bothers me bad. Maybe the people who said Walmart is not responsible would open the doors at their local Walmarts on black Friday, with the same safe guards in place as at the time of the incident. I'm sure they would think differently if it was their family member who was killed. My Walmarts had ambulances on hand.

If the store is not responsible and the crowd is not responsible, who do they think is responsible the poor worker who was doing what he was told, his job? If that is the case I think he should be paid $1,000 an hour for hazard pay and wear a coat of amour for protection.

My Walmart was a jungle, Target and Kohls were not so bad. What is it with the crowds at Walmart?

I don't think there is a Walmart Chat thread. I think the issue is being addressed in the lounge thread you mentioned. Not everyone thinks alike. That's both the beauty and the downside of freedom Smilie We are all entitled to our own opinions. In the end, it will be the authorities who make the decision. But we try to keep things light in here...Perhaps the podium would be a good place for your question.

I understand what you say about keeping things light, but things do get heated and heavy in here sometimes and the Target thread all the time, but I guess no one discusses the really deep issues, True. But I just can't believe that anyone would say that no one holds responsibility for someone's life (neither the store or the crazed mob), and I think if the question were asked if your spouse, mother, daughter etc... who worked at Walmart (or didn't for that matter) were trampled to death in Walmart during black Friday who would be responsible, answers would be much much different! nod I'm sure we all agree on that!

Also with all the sales right now, including Target people in all the threads out shopping should stop to think about preventing and not being a part of incidents like this, as they or a loved one, or complete strangers can lose their lives or be hurt badly. But like you say enough said on with the happy talk! laugh out loud

You can't control the thoughts of other's. Only yourself. If someone doesn't agree with you, it is not the end of the world. Stay true to your beliefs and you will be fine. Why do you feel the need for everyone to feel the same way you do? The police will handle the situation, and appear to already being do so. It was a tragic, unfortunate, preventable thing. But I won't let my day/life be ruined if everyone doesn't agree with me. As I said, the Podium is a good place for debating, which is what you seem to want to do. It's not that we don't discuss deep issues, it's just that we don't debate in here. Yes, there have been times when the thread gets ugly, but it is usually the result of someone new entering and starting trouble. Even with, and especially because of the stresses of our world we do need a place for happy talk.

I am by no means trying to control others thoughts, and I took this to the podium. I see you have also commented in the lounge thread before me pretty much saying you believe walmart is responsible, at the very least the manager would be held responsible and maybe fired. So same thoughts different thread. I'm sure you didn't think you were controlling anyone's thoughts, you were just commenting like me.

I won't let my day be ruined if others don't agree with me, whatever that is mankind and I guess they can expect the same reaction if it their loved one is involved in a similar incident. Also I don't think the authorities always decide things fair (who says life is fair?) or justly themselves, but in this case they over whelming say walmart is at fault. So the authorities have decided already. There is an article linked about the authorities reaction on the last page of the thread. If anyone else would like to comment it is in the podium now, so this thread won't be clogged up with anymore posts about this.
