This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

First Concert: One of the many "last" Kiss reunion concerts laugh out loud (this one was in 96)

Best Concert: Rage Against the Machine, Wu-Tang Clan and Atari Teenage Riot in Chicago (97, I believe) Rock Best mosh pit evah!

Most Recent Concert: Scored free tix to Ozzfest this past summer; couldn't find a babysitter on short notice so 5-yo DS got to go to his first concert. I think he was a little scared by all the strangers coming up to him and flashing the "devil horn" sign. LMAO

Oh.... and the Kiss concert was my first official date with DH. Kiss

My husband and I are having a little disagreement tonight and I'm hoping you guys can help! If an item is featured in a printed ad (for example the Target Ad). Does that mean that they have to have at least one of that item in the store when the doors open on Sunday morning? My husband thinks that only one store in the area has to have one. So say we have 5 Targets he thinks only 1 has to have the item. I say all 5 have to have at least 1. Any input??

I don't know for sure, but I think they all have the items if it's in the ad.

Each store must have at least one (or a note on display explaining an "advertising/stocking mistake") or it is false advertising. Most places will have a "substitute" item available if they have no or low stock for the sale. In some states it is illegal to advertise an item if you realistically know you will not have stock...falls under deceptive advertising practices statutes. HTH.

Interesting...when I worked at JCP many moons ago we were always sure to have an item from the ad in stock even if it meant a size 5.5 Women's Nike Air that was on display. I am really not sure on this but see below.

I would suggest contacting the local department of weights and measures. If they don't address this sort of issue I am sure they can direct you to the department that does. It is definitely a consumer affair, so my guess is they will have an answer.
