This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Does anyone have any extra Kleenex tearpads that they won't be using? If so, please PM me and let me know what you are looking for. I have HW, Coty peelies and more... TIA

BTW, loving X-mas break so far. I already feel like the time is flying by though! Need to get rid of the kids somehow so I can wrap some presents!
I have a few Kleenexs left, but they expire so soon, I don't know if they would get there fast enough Scratchchin

Yeah, that part doesn't bother me. I have some other q's I want to use, and Harris Teeter carries everything, only they won't take a q if it doesn't scan. Publix takes it, but they don't carry RiceWorks. Trying to save some time grocery store hopping.

Check out the picture of dd that Billiam411 did for me. It's her birthday today, and I thought she would like this. I think it turned out well. BirthdayGirl

We had our family Christmas gathering last night. I felt like Santa. Cranium and hooded bath towels and videos for the kids, and giftbags of glade and Hershey's Bliss for the adults. Everyone loved them!
oh yeah! I forgot about the hooded towels~~The Cranium was a big hit with the preschool class Smilie I would love to find those towels again. Especially since my K has started a second wave of clearance on these Smilie

my best friend shopped my closet this morning before a LONG road trip and took Purell, PopTarts, Pantene, etc. She was sighing over the Glade but just couldn't fit it in the little car Wink

those hooded towels were the hit of the night. The kids put them on and were playing. The moms loved them too! For 1.50, you just can't go wrong!

I think it is an awesome gift! Your DH sounds like mine...thinks we are made of money. I keep trying to tell him that we wouldn't have ANY money if it weren't for me couponing. He just doesn't get it.

OMG, I could have written that. laugh out loud

I keep having to explain: the reason why we actually have $$ left in the checking account at the end of the month is BECAUSE I do all this.

To him, it's proof we don't "need" to do this any more and therefore I should stop. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I think sometimes men are jealous of the time we spend on here, or time spent anywhere away from them. It used to bother dxh when I read a book, even if I was sitting right next to him...I guess something else had my attention Confused

It is true! My DH gets the money we save with me doing the coupons but he hates the time I spend doing it. He hates when I spend time online, hates the coupon stacks and mess, but appreciates the money we save. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Of course he is the one keeping track of and paying all the bills so when I shop and don't end up spending so little OOP that I can use GC etc and never need a check or CC he does see the huge savings.

We were supposed to leave last night for Christmas vacation but a blizzard is here! It is snowing so hard we can only see the houses accross the street then it is a white out!!! The snow piles are so high I don't know how we will get out of town, hopefully the snow plows are on overtime. It is not supposed to stop snowing until tomorrow either! EEK!

I guess I better finish packing maybe I can squeeze in a K run. I found those Norelco razors at K for $27.xx but I didn't have my $20 Q with me I think I only got one paper that weekend. Frown I at least want to pick one of those things up, and some more Glad, Kleenex, and a few other things.

I pay all our bills and handle the day-to-day finances. DH is better with long-term stuff so he does our investing, retirement accounts ,etc.

That may be the difference-- if he actually ever looked in our checking account and realized what a difference it made, he might "get it" more.

Stay safe!! laugh out loud about fitting in the KM run before going to the airport. I'm trying to plan out all the different runs I need to do (and also get my grades submitted Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)) before we leave on Wednesday.

We are flying through Denver so please everyone think happy, "no snow" thoughts for us. I don't want to be stranded in the Denver airport on 24 December.

If you get stuck in Denver we are flying through there on Dec 25. DH told me to have my sister who lives in Denver hide a key just in case we get stuck in town.

I call my DH the "budget police" he keeps all our monthly receipts and enters them into an excel spreadsheet. He has all our income and all our bills broken out into categories and we sit and go through it twice a month to see how much we've spent and how much we have left for the month and if there was anything unexpected that has come up. Well, I've only been SDing for a few months really (getting better every run). The last 3 months I've averaged $300 less in the grocery and household category. That doesn't even include what I've saved us in Christmas gifts this year. He totally can see the impact it has on our family and our budget. He's become a lot more helpful when it comes to booting up our extra computers to print a good Q when it comes out. Smilie

laugh out loud As funny as it would be to meet up in the Denver airport, that's not how I want to spend the holidays.shake head

OK, I just checked the 10 day forecast on weather.com for us.

They are predicting snow showers for tomorrow, but nothing on Wed., or Thur. So hopefully we will be good.

They are used to the snow in Denver and are verrrrrry good Secret unlike OHare.

laugh out loud I know I know it was a plane "malfunction" not weather related, but I could not resist.

We are flying on Christmas Day as our tickets were normal price versus 2-3 times higher for holiday travel. We did it 2 years ago. I really didn't mind it. Secret The airports are not crowded at all!
