This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Have you guys heard about this no reselling baby stuff after 2/10? Read a little more about it here [blogspot.com] - I don't know if anyone here uses consignment shops or e-bay to either buy or re-sell, but you might want to take note if you do..... Sounds like this would include all those giant Little Tikes toys that everyone beat each up over to buy at my garage sale way back when.... those things were garage sale magnets!
That's the craziest thing I've heard in some time. I guess my week is planned. I have my sons clothes to launder before listing on Ebay. Good grief, I have years worth of abercrombie to sell. Thanks for the info. Smilie

Yeah, I would never want to be on it, but I heart watching it!!!
I got called about the show, Wife Swap, a few years ago. One of the producers saw a website I had about camping and liked it. They were looking for people who liked to camp and she said my website looked fun! Only problem was I needed a "significant other" and didn't have one. She said they couldn't take single parents. Mad Both my kids said they would move out if I did it, but they did pay well. I don't remember exactly how much, but it was alot!
I figured since I was the poor, overworked, single mom I would be swapped with someone rich who takes lots of trips and went to the spa every day! LMAO

Some nice person posted new Horizon milk coupons in the deals thread. When I try to print them, everything sets up but they never print. The printer icon comes on like the printer is ready and then it goes off like they have printed. When I open the active printer folder, the document says status is spooling...anyone else ever had this problem? All other documents print just fine. TIAheart

Anyone want to explain to me why I thought it would be a good idea to bring dd to the mall when I can't pick her up all that well right now?? She wasn't really that bad, I just think she gets overstimulated and freaks out a little. The poor little girl doesn't know what to do with so many people around. I really want to get her involved in some activities at the park district when she turns 3, I just know it's going to be hard b/c my schedule at work is never the same week to week. Anyone have any suggestions on classes for a 3 year old girl?? She def. needs some more socialization with kids her age.
Do you have a YMCA close by? My 3 yr old dd is going to start a kids cooking class on Thursday at the local YMCA. It's only 45 minutes once a week but it will get her around other kids a little. What about a community center or cultural center? DD just finished an art class at the cultural center and ds used to take little classes at the community center where we used to live. HTH!

rep the op, not me

I've looked in WM and Target for Thomas party supplies and not finding anything. Any clue where I can find them for cheap? The online ones are ridiculously expensive

Also, what activities would you do for a 2yo party? I have a handful of kids coming, less than 5, but still think I should have one or 2 games in case they want to play. Ideas? Elmo or Thomas related would be great. Thanks guys. I can't even believe I have to plan this in the midst of all this chaos but perhaps it's a good thing

Small table set up with a bucket full of crayons, some ripped out pages of a coloring book or download some themed pages from Thomas or Elmo, and some self stick foam characters that you can find a bucket of at the dollar store.
No mess, keeps them busy and then hang them up as they finish each picture. It makes them want to keep on doing more.

Depends on where you live. We live where it is possible to go outside this time of year and we had a messy party Big Grin Seriously, come dressed for the mess.

Water and sand table, finger painting, bubble blowing etc. It was the best party ever (I have 4 kids) It was inexpensive and the kids got to actually do...what kids do! It was no problem to clean up at all.

Or if you want to do a small party, let them draw on white/brown paper sacks when they first get there and then fill them while they are playing and they can get their artwork back filled with cheap goodies at the end. The time will fly by and they will really just be interested in each other. Hope that helps open a door to new ideas for you

(have pre-filled cellophane bags filled and tied, then just drop them into the bags the kids made)
