This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Well, here's my attempt at a slickdeal! We use turbotax and norton internet security. When my virus protection subscription runs out every year, I just try to do one of the deals where you get turbotax + norton for a bundle price. Well, this year it's Staples running Turbotax (fed+state+efile) for 59.99 and Norton Internet Security for 9.99 after rebates (original price is 59.99). OfficeMax in our area had their paper bag in this week's paper for 15% off. Staples let me use the competitor's discount! And I had a $9 staples rebate check to use. I get to submit a $30 staples rebate for norton because I bought it with turbotax as well as the $20 norton upgrade rebate.

Receipt is:
Turbotax 59.99
Norton 59.99
- 18 (officemax discount)
= 101.98
- 9 staples ink rebate check
+ tax
= $99.xx

And then when I send in my norton rebates, I get the whole thing for $50! bounce

I bet someone knows a way to make that slicker, but I'm pretty happy with this one! Big Grin

Edit to add - Was typing this when the probe posts started! Holy crap! Would have waited on mine if I had seen them first! : )

Good morning Ladies! I am having a great morning, or rather Ryan is!

Last night Ryan (who is 22 months btw), told me he was pooping and needed a diaper change. He is the kind of kid who didnt care if he ever got his diaper changed. Anyway, since he told me he was going, I got out his potty that I bought for him awhile back. He was very very excited about it. So we let him sit on it last night to try it out and he was very happy about it.

Go Ryan Go...

$10/50 beeped expired for me today. Such a sad, sad day.
This is the saddest news I have heard in a while..Thanks for being the guinea pig again...Going to PM you now...

Just a heads up to those who sent in for the Post-it/McDonalds rebate. I got 4 envelopes in the mail today all filled with McD GCs.
Geesh, I forgot about the Mac D offer..I did the macys one and forgot this one...

Thanks ladies for your inputs on my baby bottle dilemna. I checked what I bought last night and I got 10 4oz bottles for 2.48 ea and 5 3pks of 9oz bottles (so 15 total) for $6.48/pk. I have so many Avent BPA bottles! I still don't know what to do though. BRU is not doing the exchange program anymore because they are no longer selling BPA Avent bottles.

Oh and what a good boy Ryan is for using the potty at 22 mos! My 25 month DS started using the potty on his 2nd bday but now is not excited anymore and does not want to use it. And he doesn't care if he's wet with pee or soiled with poo even without dipes. It's getting to be gross!

This is a bit of a random question, but I am wondering if any of you have ever given your jedi cashiers anything as a thank you gift? My guy is such a doll, he takes any coupons I give him, and I feel a bit guilty after using so many coupons tonight and holding up his line for awhile. I'm tempted to give him a starbucks or target GC, but will he get in trouble if I do that? I plan on sending in the red card eval, making sure to include his name and positive feedback, but anything else I can do for him to let him know how much he is appreciated? TIA!
I've shared some of my coupons with certain cashiers at Target. I've also given a cashier or two, at CVS, some of the candy I've bought in my transactions. I always feel as though I'd be "paying" them to scan all my coupons if I gave them a giftcard or something. I always wondered if they could get in trouble for taking things from customers or if management would think they stole it.

Check out your post office. Most of them have a 10% off card in the mover's kit. An SD friend gave me a bunch just a few weeks ago.

That would be great if you are going there but don't make a special trip on my account. I don't know how the weather is where you live but it is icy here.

I just signed up for one for you. If it gets to email quickly, I'll pas it on.

I took moving kits from my post office a few weeks ago, but ours just have the link to register and print your coupon. They used to have an actual coupon inside, but no longer here.
