Ok, that story is a riot. Just shows you should be nice to people because you never know when it will come back to bite you in the butt. I would totally call T and check her references. I'm sure whatever they have to say will just make the story even funnier.

A serger also can cut the material as it sews, so it is a great thing!



I used a serger a lot in high school. I owned one after school, but my ex hubby got that in the divorce (don't get me started on how he got ALL my stuff Ranting @sshole......) so I haven't used one in a while. I really want to make fleece PJ bottoms, since they are soooo comfy, but thought I should get some books since it has been so long since I have done anything but a baby blanket on one.

Fleece doesn't need to be serged because the edges won't unravel. The whole reason that commercial clothing, and the home sewer serge edges is to prevent the fabric from unravelling. the only tip I can give is to sew your project with your regular straight stitch machine then go over all the seams with your serger. Serging only can make some problematic seams.

Speaking of TARGET, does anyone know why it is so darn hard to find the threads concerning the after Christmas Target discount page. There are hundreds of posts there and I can never find it when I do a search. I only find it when someone recently posts and I just stumble upon it. When I look for it, I can't figure out how to pull it up.

Am I missing something here? Is there a tip someone could offer?

I am not sure what threads you are looking for but when you find them you can sticky them to the top of the page. Use thread tools in the upper right corner of the thread you are in.

Actually what I would like to do is hire her and then make her life miserable. Remind her how I was treated at Target as I walk her out the door. Revenge is SWEET!!!!

I would so call her back for a 2nd interview and then before she comes in, have all these razors lying around your desk. When she walks in, make sure you have one in your hands to twirl around.......

When I read your first post, my first thought was that you should totally hire her, if only to give karma a bit of help. I'm not sure if you would be her manager, but if you were, how funny would it be if she also listed you as a reference when she applied for her next job - that is, after she inevitably got fired Cool
