Yup, the current versions are 10.5" and 12.1" . That said, this is a heck of a deal. over the regular $300 iPad (same screen size) you get four times the memory, a better processor, pencil compatibility, better sound, and cellular (usually +$130 by itself).

Probably not, unless it was a return from an online order. Costco B&M usually does not stock the cellular model.

I just got a 10.5 from staples price match from 499 micro center. Only 64gb and no cellular but current gen. I think I'll stick with that but this is a great deal.
