You did it wrong. And applying with your SSN had nothing to do with your decline. Don't pretend to have an elaborate business that you can't back up - even if you can stretch it to seem kinda plausible.

What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
That one has an annual fee and requires $5k spending from what I can see, but the CB and bonus amount are indeed better.
When I signed up years ago, basic Ebay sellers were viewed as a business. Today YMMV but I still have the card.

One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Checked with chase. They have rejected because of another business card applied in March and relatively new business.

Were you approved for the other card in March?
Did they say how long you have to wait before you can apply for another card?

I was thinking of applying for the ink unlimited card but I recently got the ink.

We applied for business card with 80k points. There is no time window. They just think, our business is relatively new and small. They don't want to approve another card.

There's definitely a time window- you will be auto-rejected if you apply for a chase business card within 30 days of having gotten another chase business card.
(google 1/30 rule chase for more info on that)

You can apply for another Ink card after 31 days but most people recommend spreading it out every 2-3 months -- also lower your existing Chase limits ahead of time if you have too much limit vs your income

I've done CIP1 in March, CIC1 in May and CIP2 approved last week

Family member: CIP1 in Nov (cancelled it 2 weeks ago), CIC1 in March, CIP2 in May and CIU1 approved last week

Thanks, does chase limits include just business cards or personal as well?

The 31 day thing is specific to business cards. Checking for 5/24 applies to both business and personal cards (1st party ones anyway, the 3rd party chase ones are different depending on the card)

They look at both personal and business limits for Chase cards only -- you can leave it as is if you want to but then you'll have to deal with recon to get it approved if they think you're at the max overall limit based on your credit/income/history

For me its easier to lower them ahead of time so I don't have to deal with recon -- most people recommend having your total Chase limit below 50% of income before applying

Do it a few days or week before applying -- I lower mine after I'm done hitting min spend for the bonus since I don't need the limits they give me and that way I'm set for my next card app

Chase has been delaying bonus payout for the past month so now you'll have to wait up to 8 weeks for it
I finally see the bonus UR points in pending. It seems if one meets the 3K spending, he will receive the bonus at the 2nd statement.

What did you say your length of business and annual revenue was on the application?

edit: is this a "business" or a business?

You want to wait at least 2-3 months between these Chase apps if you want a higher success rate. They will never disclose how long you should wait but this is the suggested rule of thumb.

That is odd.. I would try another rep. I've gone with fewer years than that and didn't run into issues.

I have excellent credit score+history and own small business, but declined. A letter from Chase doesn't include any reason, just declined.

If I visit local Chase Branch, will be same result?

I am currently use all business expanses using Citi double cash(I know it is personal, but only use for business uses) and gets 2%. This Chase card is 0.5% lower, but I am looking for some business card without annual fee. =P
