What you should have done (and could do in 30 days if you wish to reapply) is to simply apply as a "Sole Proprietor". From that point, pick a category/subcategory that makes sense for you, put minimal levels of income and years in business. I have gotten 3 Chase business cards doing exactly that (2 using my SSN, the 3rd with an EIN), as have a large number of other people - oddly enough, it is easier to get approved following those steps than for legitimate small business owners applying for their businesses.
One thing to know, the buyer protections granted to customers of non-business VISA cards may not come with the business card. You may want to check carefully before using this card for higher risk purchases.

Nobody cares what you buy.
That disclaimer is there because business cards don't have all the same consumer protections that personal cards do and they don't want you suing them later.

Thank you.
They don't issue them for signup bonuses (which are considered rebates, not income, by the IRS since the spending requirement means you're getting a share of your own money back).
They are issuing them for referral bonuses now though- something they just began doing.

Thanks again
Thanks in advance. Have read enough to understand how to handle the process as a non-business if this can work.

Wanted to start by adding this card and the Freedom Unlimited card. Once I get the bonuses for these 2 , and simply to avoid biting off more than I can chew, I then want to add the 4th and final card, the sapphire reserve to get the extra points bonus.
Will there be any issues using the points i accumulated before getting the Reserve card while still getting the 50% bonus that card offers, or do I need to get the reserve card first?
Last but not least, will there be any issues combining the business and personal cards under one account and pooling their points?

You can combine the points just fine, I do it whenever I remember. To combine the personal and business accounts under 1 login you call Chase after you've made a login for the business card. Tell them you want them to combine the accounts so so you can see personal on the business login. They'll do that and then you have the option of keeping the personal login or they can delete it for you. I chose to keep both. You'll be able to see business and personal via business login but only personal via the personal login.
