Would these be the ones I would buy to get bright white? Or are there other bulbs that do just bright white without the colors?

There are other bulbs that are just white. These are color and white. I feel like they get bright white, but if you dont't want color, you may want to purchase just the white ones.

These do pretty bright white, There's a bunch of white settings you can do to these, and having color is just an added bonus. I would get these cause the color is a pretty cool thing to have

I was wondering about that as well. The other ones I saw were more rounded, but were soft white only. These are flatter and I wondered if that reduced the amount of light they produced. Thanks.

There are three types of bulb, the white, white ambiance, and color and ambiance. I think the third is pretty well explained, the white ambiance bulbs let you change the "color"of the white (from a warmer incandescent like white to a cooler, halogen like white). The white bulbs are one color of white and you can dim them.

I had fun with the hue bulbs and have them in key lamps but I won't be investing more in them. I want smart switches. Waiting to find reasonably priced switches.

These can't be used outside of the network right?? Like with an app?? I have a older version of Philips Hue and it cannot. Not sure if this is the same. Thanks
