I feel like the fact that 4k monitors exist makes it a little silly to still charge this much for a 1080. Granted 4k doesn't really come with good refresh rates on average, so maybe when that leverage is gone we'll see some drops on older tech.
Actually this was $599 on Amazon for a while too, not sure why ccc doesn't track it. I was eyeing this or the freesync version for $479 but decided to wait for QHD instead. The 32" GSync qhd Acer predator for $699 is probably a better deal.
I just hear to promote this aspect ratio! I have a 21:9 34" and a 4k 40" screen and playing games on the 4k screen feels like I am playing with one eyes closed because of how much less you see.
people complain about not being 4k and do not realize their potato graphics cards can't handle games in 4k, this is a gaming monitor, not a workstation monitor. I got one of this with the eBay 20% off while back, looks great.

$20 less than all-time Amazon low and $50 less than lowest price posted on SD, if interested.

I would be all-over this if it was a 1440p (3.5K) 21:9 panel with G-Sync and >120Hz.
The 100Hz ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q sells for ~$1,200 typically, with the equiv. Acer predator a bit less.
