Costco.com has the Google Wifi 4pk AC1200 Dual-Band Home WiFi System for $329 shipped. If you need four of these, it's a much better price than picking up a 3-pack + 1. https://www.costco.com/Google-Wif...06436.html
Is this a good deal? I am moving to a new home and there are definitely connectivity issues ... but not sure how many units I will need!
This is a good deal since 3 of them sells for $300 retail. It is a bit cheaper now on amazon for $260 but getting that extra one will cost you another $100. If you have a big house, you may need 4. Ergo, you are saving around $30 before taxes. I have 3 + a couple other wired routers (not google) for my office and my entertainment center to either hardwire my devices or have a Wifi source near by.
These are great but be warned if you rely on Wi-Fi calling with AT&T these don't work with it. I had to return mine because of this. Long support thread on this issue with no fix. It will come up and then randomly drop when you roam between AP's and only a reboot will get it to come back. Complete killer for me.
I've used this Google wifi and Netgear Orbi 3-pack RBR50 AC3000. And I have Att wireless iPhone. I have noticed less switching between nodes on google wifi than orbi, or about the same.
Both are good.
On google wifi, on the slave units, both network ports can be used for wired connections, should you choose/need that.
orbi has 3 Ethernet ports on main unit and 2 on the slaves.
I hooked a gigabit switch into mine to expand number of wired connections for wired cat 5 in my home's walls. You can do this with either system.
I was wondering about the use of the both Ethernet ports on the slave
thanks for the information

Are you saying with AT&T as your ISP or mobile provider? I use these with Spectrum ISP and AT&T for my mobile and WiFi calling works perfectly.

On Google Wifi, the one unit you will make master, you plug cable modem into (Wan), other is free for LAN. Slave units, both will be LAN.

FYI - have 3 units covering 2,100sqft in 3 levels. Blanketed coverage, really happy with them.
Full strength wifi all over the place. Works very well - this is a great deal.
