Amazon wouldn't let me accept the offer because I already had a current audible subscription, so I just canceled it and tried the offer a few seconds later. It worked! I don't much care for the kindle, but I know I'm going to subscribe to audible for the next 12 months. Even without the kindle credit, I would have taken the deal. /shrug
Hmmm I need more credits and jump on the $100 for 12 deals, but I have 2 Kindles already and never touch them...doubt they have a very worthwhile resale value either. They offer a $15 amazon gift card, heh.

It's not a current deal sadly, but one they offer a couple times a year. Last time was probably about 4 months ago. More recently they had the Amazon Echo plus annual subscription deal and now this one.
$99 for 12 credits + $50 off Echo is by far the best Audible deal I've seen. This one is just OK in comparison, unless you really want a Kindle.
I feel like any audible user can enjoy a smart speaker that reads their books. But only a few will know if they also want an option to read from a digital device with an e-ink screen
After you purchase the $129.99 discounted annual membership and your payment is verified, you will receive a credit with a maximum value of $79.99 to your Amazon account to use for a qualified Kindle device purchase on Amazon. You must use the credit within 90 days of receiving it. The credit is valid to use on the following Kindle devices: Kindle E-reader - Black, 6" Glare-Free Touchscreen Display, Wi-Fi - Includes Special Offers, Kindle E-reader - White, 6" Glare-Free Touchscreen Display, Wi-Fi - Includes Special Offers. This offer is not eligible for the Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle Voyage, or Kindle Oasis.
Does the cheap one have the option to listen to an audiobook?
