So, what exactly is a gayberry?

Quote from wiles :
Uh, who's gonna take this one?

I'll give it a shot.
It's a made up term (I think Briang developed the slang but for some it caught on like wildfire) for any kind of berry or fruit that a person would use to make a fruit smoothie to drink, instead of drinking beer like a manly man, such as Briang.
Some people even speak the language Gayberrolian.

How'd I do Matt?
hot mess avy's thanks to sonofabeech

i got a sad story about blindness... my mom teaches her own aerobics class (her own franchise - she's been doing it for 25+ years) and a few years ago this partially blind lady wanted to join her class. she lives ~2 miles away from where the class is taught. she first started walking to class, but then her vision got progressively worse. my mom then picked her up and took her home on the way to each class. my mom and her share a special bond because they both went to the same nursing school (U.Penn) but never knew each other.

about a year into the blind lady being in the class, she developed breast cancer. she had chemo and was stuck in her home... my mom, heartbroken, decided to give her private lessons to fit her schedule. but i don't think they ever got rid of all the cancer.... i don't know what she's doing now, i haven't asked my mom. Frown but i don't have a good feeling

Hug2 Pray for her. I have a good friend from my gym that was older and she fell and couldn't take classes after her injury. She calls me once in a while at work after a good article is in the paper about me or my town and I miss her sooo much! A lady close to 80 doing pilates and yoga is always missed. Sadwalk

Arj, this is what my buddy who lives in Sac said (I facebook msg'd him):
Quote :
He could go tour the capitol building. I think there are a few museums...a railroad museum and like a California museum or something. Walking around old town can be fun for about an hour and there is a mall close to there too. There are a bunch of cool restaurants and bars in midtown. That's about all I can think of. There is a weird Indian field trip place pretty close that smells like bums use it for a bathroom. That's all I got.
sorry Rofl2

wiles! my mom's students are almost all older than her! it's amazing... these 60, 70, 80 year old ladies doing aerobics 3 times a week... worship
