Yeah, I wouldn't recommend kids around 2-4 years old. They're too much work.

Having had this toothbrush for several months now I think it's great. I had both an older, low-end Oral-B and a Sonicare DiamondClean prior, and all things considered this is my favorite. My only complaints would be average battery life compare to more expensive models (seems to last about a week), and the travel case is pretty bare bones (also compared with more expensive models). If you don't plan to travel with it and you don't mind keeping it on the charger all the time then no worries!

There also is no brush mode indication - other than when using the bluetooth app - but I only use the default "daily clean mode" so that's not really an issue. The rest are basically just longer brush times (which I can figure out how to do my self...) or lower brush speeds (which somewhat defeats the purpose of buying your fancy new toothbrush!).

Bluetooth is useless on this, Support tells me to upgrade my LG G5 to newer... Other than that, it brushes much better than my old Sonicare Elite

Is the premium worth it the cheaper, basic models?

Got this last time. Love it. Replacement toothbrush heads are much cheaper than most other electric toothbrushes

This isn't even really the "premium" model. More of a mid-range model, so I find it a good balance of price and features. I wouldn't go any cheaper than the 3000 though - below that they have weaker motors and worse batteries. They also can't use all the different brush head options

It doesn't say in amazon's page; but according to their website, it does not. It uses a nickel-metal hydride battery.
