It's $279. Expectations, people. Really.
My last 2 laptops have been Dell refurbished. My current one is 5 years old. Yes it is time for a new one, but it is still working. I think mine came with a 1 yr warranty. If money is no object, by all means get a new one, but if you are on a budget I have no complaints with a refurb. Of course YMMV!

Less than full hd for a big screen, but if you want the screen size and you are on a budget, not the worst deal I've seen

This is tempting. Wish is was full HD, but not bad for the price.

Please help me understand buying a refurbished laptop. My experience is that laptops deteriorate fairly quickly so getting one that has been used feels a bit risky to me. Any advice would be helpful

I still love my Dell XPS 17. I wish they still made them.

I wish the fan didn't run all the time on mine. Otherwise it's still rocking along after all these years.

I've had too many reliability issues with HP. Never again.
