I was browsing the pics posted and they were awesome. I thought I would share one of my favorites. I was on a business trip in Arizona and had a day to drive and hike around the Apache trail. If you ever get to Arizona, I highly recommend making a day of it. Enjoy.

not a "cool pic" but a funny one (er i think so) took this lastnight my dog and his new "g/f" (a stuffed elephant) lol

i wish i could take a vid of him when he does this, he actually flips and turns the elephant until its face down a$$ up lol

off-hand I'd say it was a Giant Leopard moth (Ecpantheria scribonia) but I don't know if their distribution reaches California.. so it might be within the same genus but a different species.

here is my hubby's newest toy 1955 Chevy two door,

Looked good to me when he bought it but he decided to "restore" it we'll see how that goes (the kid standing in the trunk is my youngest son Hayden)

looks exactly like the guy in my yard. i'm visiting the folks in houston over spring break.

oh, in that case I'd pretty much garuntee it's the scribonia. Neat little moth, the hind wings have a some-what translucent look to them.
