Walmart B&M Stores right now have the Boost Mobile Moto E5 Play for $59. Includes Sprint SIM card pre-installed and may work on the Sprint Network if the Walmart store will sell it to you without activating in store...others are saying it will work on Sprint BYOD deal even if the Walmart employee activated the Boost phone in the store. Walmart stores also have the Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play (bigger screen, finger print scanner, huge battery, etc) for $79 or less.

My wife and I bought two of these from Walmart last night without having to activate in store and activated them with Sprint (Unlimited Plan Free for a year deal) by porting in our two Verizon post-paid phone numbers. See other FP deal for the Sprint offer. YMMV

Did you have to unlock them? I have generally seen Boost phone on SD are locked and not unlock-able.

i tried this with the E3 and i think just by scanning it on the register it was activated. Can you provide more information?

No, since we didn't activate the phones in Walmart (not sure if we got lucky or if it's still optional) and the IMEI (Hex) numbers for the phone were both eligible on the Sprint Free for a Year website for valid phones we didn't have any problems during our activation call with the special 888 number for the 1 year Free deal. PS. Our two phones both had actual Sprint SIM cards pre-installed so we didn't even have to get different SIM cards to activate over the phone call.

I believe the G6 Play has a much bigger screen and battery plus a fingerprint scanner.

They scanned ours to check us out and asked if we wanted to activate and we said no we'll do it later online. If you tell them you are in a hurry and need to get home you shouldn't have a problem unless you get a real know it all or jerk in the Elec Dept.

Thought thats only until sep 2018 and they introduced a new plan of $15/mo unlmtd

Actually, the Sprint 1 year free BYOD plan is still available and if you get one now it is good until 7/31/2019.

It has always been a "limited time offer" but it is still available.
