I would really want an aimable tweeters for atmos ceiling speakers...even over a significant discount on non-aimable. I used 4x RSL c34e's. They do have a large cut out but I am pleased. Honestly atmos is not as large of an upgrade as say my 82 samsung or svs pb13 ultra etc etc..the .4 ceiling speakers were my last and final addition.

Amiable tweeters make no sense in a speaker that's suppose to have a somewhat diffuse sound, not to mention that even if it was desirable, they'd b pointing the wrong direction for everyone else in the room not in the "sweet spot".
The single pair of jamo/klipsch in ceiling speakers in my Atmos setup make a huge impact to the sound field in my room. Much more so than I would have thought.

to each their own, but for my family atmos was HUGE. We watched Sicario last night and my 15 year old son said there was flies in the room behind us! I said "that's in the movie"...I had to pause it to prove it to him... :-)

you don't want "aimable tweeters for atmos"...
Well, maybe YOU do, but that is not what is recommended..

I know it says black...but do they really come with black grills?
I have these and love them. They come with white covers . Might buy more for my loft upstairs... the covers are really nice flush mounts not bulky at all like some other brands (jbl)
Anyone know how these would compare to some Origin Acoustics speakers? I had an installer come out for my 5.1 pre wired system and quote me that brand mode D65 I think.

You would be surprised how well it works while still allowing for a fairly diffuse sound. It isn't like aiming a laser after all.

Actual home "atmos" speakers often don't even have tweeters. As with all home surround speakers, u want a somewhat diffuse sound. Many "experts" in audio have been completely satisfied with up-firing atmos setups where the high frequencies r firing up at the ceiling and then bouncing back down to the listeners. Aim-able tweeters r not necessary at all for atmos.
