Home Depot is offering the 2HP model, regularly priced at $248, for $148 online exclusive this week. I have seen this once or twice at $198, but this is still $50 less expensive

CamelCamelCamel shows this is the lowest price vs amazon since December of 2016

Model # GD201

Here are the details of the unit, per HD website;
- 2HPs for faster opening and extended motor life
- Steel reinforced belt drive for longer life and reliable operation
- Ultra-quiet drive system
- Easy-to-install 3-piece rail system decreases installation time and user frustration
- Lithium-Ion battery backup allows for over 100 opens using a Ryobi ONE+ high capacity lithium-ion battery
- Monitor and control your garage door opener with the Ryobi GDO app
- Long-lasting LED light projects clean, clear light and eliminates the need to replace bulbs
- Personalize your garage door opener with any of the accessories from the RYOBi garage accessory system
- Includes (1) 2HPs ultra-quiet garage door opener, (1) wireless keypad, outdoor control pad, (2) remotes, (2) safety sensors

I own this unit. It's hasn't been very reliable. Software issues, app not working properly. Wish I'd bought a different brand. It is quiet when it works properly. Lol
The beeping isn't that loud. I have a room above my garage as well.
Beware using the wiring in the house. This unit doesn't like it. I had to rerun the wiring using Ryobi included wiring in order to get the door to go down. This was after owning it for nearly a year.

On my Chamberlain, I applied a healthy amount of silicone caulking around the speaker and gasket. I've never heard even the slightest peep since.

Nice post! Just bought this last week for $248. Saved me $100! Not many reviews but seems to be reviewed better than the previous 1.25hp model.

I have this for my garage. Works fantastic and is very quiet, aside from the extremely annoying beeping it does when closing.

I haven't personally used any of the add-ons, so can't vouch for those. However, the battery backup does work well. FYI, the add-ons don't work on batter power just incase you install the camera or laser guide.

Glad I could help. Seems the 1.25 hp came out after this one but has issues with configurations. I had just picked up a craftsman I will now be returning... why can't I just quit shopping once I make a purchase? haha

What's makes this so quiet or other openers so noisy? I never thought it was the motor but everything else...

The electric motor should produce about the same level of noise. The difference is in the drive, meaning bar drive, chain drive or belt drive. Had a bar drive model, the noise was unbearable when operating.

I have a Lift Master w/ belt drive included with my house. I'd prefer it to be quieter have only sprayed garage door lubricant so far.

Why would they make it beep loudly if it's supposed to be extremely quiet...sigh. How loud is that beeping??

Our guest bedroom is above the garage, and I know our current opener makes a lot of noise.

Just read through a couple of reviews from home depot and it looks mixed at best. Some of the reviews that worry me most is that this one does not perform its primary function well. Hmmm great price.

Got the Chamberlain a year ago and it has been great. The wifi apps works all the time, minus the one outage recently.
