So close to sub-MSRP pricing. Cheers to the decline!

Are there any retailers that can match the price?

decent price for the 6gb but not slick. YMMV/B&M since not a lot of folks has MC nearby.
I owned this card and the downside is bad thermals, esp if you plan to OC, I suggest installing a closed loop water cooler and the NZXT bracket but why the hassle where you can buy better cards from other 3rd party vendors.

Did it run hot gaming or were you mining? I checked this out not too long ago briefly last time it popped up on SD and from what I could tell most of the bad reviews were from miners (obviously it's going to need a good multi fan cooler if it's going to be running full tilt 24/7). I'm just a little worried slapping this into a HTPC style case with so so cooling. Are any of these compact 1060s any decent though? I've waited this long and I'm half way tempted to just wait a little longer to see what comes out next generation.

So are all the people that were ready to blame miners exclusively for lack of supplies and high prices willingly to offer apology?

Glut of supply and new cards are imminent and prices are above msrp for all cards.

I used it for gaming. for HTPC I think youll be fine as long as you dont OC it and keep it stock. you can play with fan curve to make the fan spin more and more often, you can also redo the thermal paste (it helps a bit).
