  • Color Options: Grey and Midnight Blue
  • Material: 100% Polycarbonate
  • Set includes: 29" large checked spinner (USB port not included) and 21" carry-on spinner (USB port included)

$99.99 After $30 OFF - $30 manufacturer's savings** is valid 6/28/18 through 7/29/18. Seem to be free shipping when I check online too.

Picked this up in-store as I needed a good size carry-on (20.5"H overall) for my international travel this Wednesday. Doesn't hurt that it comes with a larger 29" too.

Pros: Both bags has top and side handles. The carry-on bag has 2 levels retractable handle - maybe this is common but I find the feature very handy; especially when going up and down stairs such as Japan rail/subways. Available at Costco B&M as I needed it right away. Comes with 5 yrs warranty plus it's Costco, so I can always return if it's not up to *customer satisfaction* (Costco guarantee)

Cons: Doesn't have TSA lock. I don't need it for carry-on bag. I also find built-in locks are easily broken or someone in the family, usually the kids, mess with it. I usually just buy external/separate TSA locks if I need it, but not for carry-on.

I saw these last month and thought to myself that of look into it off they put them on sale. They looked nice in person, I liked how they rolled smoothly, and like the option to add your own powerbank to the carry on and have access to the USB from the outside.

I don't have experience with this specific luggage but it seems like Traveler's Choice is the parent company of a few brands and I've used their "Prokas" brand trunk luggage. They were fine and held up well during our trip to Europe that involved a lot of trains and bringing the luggage with us most of the time. They have the same wheels as these and that's what I liked the most about them, the smooth rolling wheels (helps when your luggage is heavy).

The ones from Costco don't seem to have anything special when it comes to the inside (just plain strap and zippered cover) but as I mentioned in my previous post, the USB port and the wheels are what I like. With this USB port feature, you can have a similar bag to the AWAY brand that has a built in battery for less than half the cost (and you get 2 bags instead of just one). I do like built in locks better, just for convenience, but I don't mind having to add my own TSA padlock to it.

Here's a link to the luggage maker's website that has a bit more info on this luggage set: https://www.travelerchoice.com/shop/smart-usb-port-charging-polycarbonate-carry-on-expandable-spinne... [travelerchoice.com]

I'm thinking of selling my current Delsey luggage to grab these. I like the color better and it looks to hide scuffs a bit better than my already scuffed Delsey (same polycarbonate material but it is smooth so it scratches easily).

Testing around with the spinners and I can also attest to the smooth rolling wheels. Note, the overall exterior size of the carry-on is what I like about this bag (20.5"H x 16"W x 9.5"D + 2").

The 16"W and 9.5"D is slightly over the standard 22"Hx14"Wx9"D size but when you travel a lot, you know you can sneak it through. Every now and then, we've all witness people sneak through big luggage or something over 22"H and have a hard time trying to fit it into the smaller airplane overhead compartment. The 20.5"H will most likely fit the smaller airplane overhead compartment.

I've decided to pass on these. While I like the look, smooth rolling wheels, etc, I can't get over the fact that the carry on does not have a quick access zippered area in the front. That's actually why I purchased my current Delsey luggage set, I like to be able to grab things (snacks, magazines, tablet, etc.) quickly without having to lay the bag down and unzip the entire thing open.
