Right in between 6 cubic feet and 8 cubic feet freezer in size, or about 200 liters, just to give you something to compare it to.

Or if that isn't relatable, the average 200lb slickdealer has about 3.5 cubic feet of volume, so if you were to grind a couple of us up, you'd be able to fit two in there and just barely be able to close the lid sitting on it. If just quartering, because of wasted space, really probably only fit one of us. How many bodies are you looking to store?

Yes I do. Consumer Reports gave this freezer a score of 82 (which falls into the "Excellent" rating range) and a rated it a "best buy". All the others that were higher rated were more expensive.

I've been following the sale for this since the last SD posted about the 10 cu ft version. BB still has this sale going on, but this is $40 lower than it was last week for this model.

I like how there aren't any regulations for them to post true power use/efficiency ranges similar to a fridge, just like pickups and suvs don't have to meet car safety standards

(note it's not "energy star")

anyone have access to this? https://www.consumerreports.org/p...-overview/

Just bought a used one yesterday because no deals on new ones were popping up. Wow. Lol.

Though I got a killer deal on it, can really do well on Craigslist if you're looking for bigger.

Thank you! That's what I always wonder, how much would this take to run per year in a hot garage, where it would have to work much harder compared to the delta in say your kitchen or other conditioned space. It says $30 a year, but that seems unlikely.

I'm a single guy, and trying to justify why I don't need this, lmao! I could stock up on frozen food at Costco, and minimize my interaction with humans as much as possible. Hmmm...

Incoming keezer. Been waiting on one for a little and like the 7 vs the 5 for the extra keg.

Love those length measurements. Up to 4 decimal in precision.
Japanese made? I kid but used Google Translate on the box that my recent Zojirushi travel thermos came in and the big bold text on the box was how many grams it weighs rather than capacity.

I had a Kill-A-Watt on mine and in the summer in a hot garage ot was ~$3 month. Opened a few times per week.

I've heard that these cheap deep freezers last about 2 years than die. Anyone have experience?

There about the same. Obviously Costco is better for the warranty. You're definitely not going to get it cheaper than this. MAYBE on black friday, but for a few bucks and less hassle this price is a no brainer if you need a freezer.

It's also note worthy that this has insane amount of reviews on best buy.
The Costco one is usually $100 when it's on sale.
