first of all, this is my first deal post, so if I'm doing something wrong, let me know. I searched for the deal on Slickdeals and couldn't find it. I also checked CCC and this is showing as $10 less than it's lowest price.

all of that said...

This model is now on clearance at best buy for $479. I have owned this model for some time now and it's fantastic.

here is the link.

Thumbs up. I saw this when chrome unboxed had an article, so bought the "open box - excellent" version for $383 (I think) plus tax.

Keep in mind, while this does have 64 GB unlike the models from some other sellers, it still does not have a backlight, like the Asus c302. Not a deal breaker for us but it may be for some.

I bought the Chromebook Plus for this price a few months back for my wife and its awesome. So much faster than any Windows laptop and the form factor is great. Only gripe I have is the limited functionality of using an SD card. I believe this is a limitation by Google and not Samsung. Next laptop I buy for myself will be a Chromebook. $400 Windows laptops are junk, $400 Chromebooks are very nice. Ours looks and feels like something that would cost twice as much.

There's no "add picture" button under edit. Sorry this post is a mess

Regular price at Best Buy has been $499 for week after week. Not a bad price but only $20 off. The open box looks like a better deal.

Why pay $14 extra for Geek Squad certified - sounds like marketing rubbish. I'm thinking about open box excellent for $384.
