Do you wipe everything else and just run libreelec?
I've been looking for another box for a while..this still seems like a Luke warm deal. Am I missing something?
LibreElec runs off an SD card, and I installed a app called "Reboot to LibreElec" and it reboots directly to it. It seems to always boot to LibreElec now, but when I shut down "Kodi" it asks if I want to boot to Android and if I wanted to go back to Android I'd select that.
Personally I don't trust these with my google account so I just side-loaded the app ( https://apkpure.com/reboot-to-lib...bootupdat
Also to note, I used a 32GB Card, but really a 8gb or so would be more than plenty. I just have only 32gb MicroSD card's laying around.

If the memory is ECC, that's another story but when the device heats up, you'll get more memory problems.

Most Android boxes out there are spoofing the ram to show more anyways. It's become a common tactic they have begun doing I've read. So paying more for a 3/4gb is kinda useless at this point.

If you want to use it for Netflix, Hulu, etc I agree this isn't a great box.
If you want a Kodi specific box this is ideal when running OpenElec and forgetting about the whole Android side of it.
