Hi all,
I've been looking for a sub-$500 pre-built budget gaming desktop for months and this seems to fit the bill nicely. Through Adorama on eBay and they are a Lenovo Authorized Reseller. I believe sales tax applies in NY and NJ.
$474.95 + 10% Ebay Bucks ($47.50). Free shipping and no tax in most states.
10% eBay Bucks - activate and/or check eligibility. YMMV.

Offer expires Jul 21, 2018 @ 11:59 PM PDT.
I bolded and italicized the specs that correspond to the kinds of questions that SDers ask. As of Jul 20th @ 9:37am EST, listing says 2 sold and "More than 10 available."

Agreed. It should be the computer + eBay bucks for actual $ cost
You are not qualified for this offer
Remove reference to eBay Bucks offer in title. It is YMMV (as you know), and it is not a discount. Please don't have an attitude about it not mattering. I will not TD the thread, just trying to help.

I do think it matters to a degree, but also find that at least some responsibility lies on others to look into all deals more thoroughly.

Only difference I can see is the installed GPU.
This one has: AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM
Costco / BB have: 1GB AMD Radeon R5 340 Graphics
The RX560 [videocardbenchmark.net]benches at 4442 on Passmark.
The R5 340 [videocardbenchmark.net] benches at 1066 on Passmark
If you are never going to open your rig, this may very well be important to you, but as I am a hardware enthusiast, for $125, you could get a 1050 TI which has a 75w TDP compared to the 80w TDP of the RX 560, and gets a score of 5923 [videocardbenchmark.net].
Secondarily, if you put that saved $ towards a bigger / better PSU + graphics card, a whole lot of options open up to you.
I don't condemn convenience and I am a fan of AMD, but bang-for-your-buck, you can do a little stronger in the budget gaming department with a little elbow grease.
Edit: Looks like Costco deal had a 250w PSU, not 400w, so you would need to upgrade. Thankfully PSU deals are plentiful. 600w for $30

I'm happy paying $45-50 more with no sales tax and not having to upgrade both the GPU and PSU. I may add an SSD though given the deals that other users are posting!

Closer to haswell i7. I5 7 series will be slightly faster in single core stuff, but get spanked in multi

Found an unboxing video that shows the hard drive bays: https://youtu.be/EB37c2uWcpE?t=1
Definitely looks do-able but with Lenovo, their proprietary parts do limit any sort of future proofing.
