Yes, the screen resolution is low, but the hardware for the money is unmatched. For example, The HDMI 2.0 port and Vega 3 graphics will easily allow 4K video @ 60hz.
Also, and this is very important to some. AMD is not susceptible at all to the Meltdown bug, and the two variants of the Spectre bug that affect it are easily patched with little / no performance loss. Intel CPU's have Meltdown baked into the hardware, and the firmware/software patches rob up to 30% performance, especially for disk intensive tasks. Intel is susceptible to ALL variants of the Spectre bug, the more recent variants aren't even patched yet. Additionally... Intel is susceptible to the TLBLEED hyper-threading bug, which AMD isn't.
There are always pros / cons. Cheers.
