This is an amazing deal. I worked for DJI and per manufacturing procedure is Spark and Mavic models get brand new units as refurb. Since the parts are all tightly fit, it would cost more in terms of labor to actually refurb than just swap out for brand new unit.

Dang, I just pulled the trigger on an Amazon bundle that was this plus another battery, but had the charging station instead of the hub for $600. Oh well, at least I have the comfort of it being new.
This looks like a nice deal, assuming DJI refurbs are ok.
There's a very good "mission app" for Android called red waypoint. The dev is super responsive in the forums answering questions and taking suggestions. I only used it a couple of times but I'm really liking it.
I think it's still free and recommended Spark owners trying it.

Now this is front page worthy. I took back the "combo" I got from Sam's Club, the other day because the fly more bundle from DJI includes a better case and a charger that will charge more than one battery. I'm really glad I waited.
I'm interested in picking up a decent drone for fun and maybe some video. I only played with essentially toy quadcopters so far that have no autonomous ability.
Some folks in other threads recommended I look around for a good deal in a Phantom 3 standard and target a sub $400 price, preferably closerr to $300 the hotter the deal.
How does this compare? Why would I want a phantom 3 standard as opposed to this spark?
I'd like to fly outside, so thinking, visually seeing it might be easier with the phantom 3 being larger.
But if I got into any paid work, and a realtor wanted inside video of a home, smaller would be better right? (At this point I just want it for fun and enjoy with my kids as they get older, though still young at 2.5 yrs and 1 yr old) . I just figure I could get a wild hair and see if someone might pay me for some video if I had one of these things and then go from there.
Not sure if I should be looking at a plain drone, or some kind of "more pack" whatever those mean.

It seems that you actually prefer something larger while one of the big draws of the Spark is it's small size (which is why I bought it) and is not as loud as some of the other drones. If size doesn't matter for you, It may make sens to go with the Phantom if you can find one at the right price.
My biggest issue with the spark is the 11-13 minute battery life.

From my research dji refurbished models are good as new. People compare them to Apple refurbished, if you ever dealt with that.

Do realtors request drone footage inside a home?
