not sure what happened to all the reviews/photos. there were at least hundreds...i think 4.5 stars average. bought this almost two years ago for my wife's car and it's a simple, budget dash cam that works well. it's got a capacitor (a must for hot/cold weather) and aukey has pretty good customer support.

i've gone through and currently own a few high end models (lukas, inavi, finevu...all +$200) and other than extra features (like touch screen, wifi, driver assistance, driving status via OBD, etc.) there's really not a huge difference in terms of video quality compared to the aukey DR01.

I just got one for my truck, its really well worth, I had dash cam on two of my cars and I knew its worth just recently when some idiot hit my wife car while sudden change of lane, but as usual after seeing a lady in the driver seat changed the statement when police came in that my wife didn't see him and hit him from behind.
Of course that stupid didn't see the camera, so my wife called me since she wasn't far from home, I went at the spot remove the SD card and showed the video to police man and send to his insurance, police man filed the paperwork and issued him ticket, reprimanded him for lying and his insurance promptly paid for the damages.
You never knew what happen when so many stupids driving around.

My concern is the suction cup and heat. Have not fount a suction cup that stays on over 100+ degree summer heat on windshield. Anyone experience any issues with that on this?

I have had this for one year, no complaints. Works every time I turn the ignition on. Will try to post some pics with it.

Having a capacitor makes this a better deal for me. The battery powered ones are slowly starting to phase out as they are dangerous in the hotter climates. Having a lukas hardwired into my car, I ran the wires thru the to edge of the windshield and along the side pillars to the fusebox.

I have 2 of theses. The suction cup will pop off every now and then if its extremely hot or cold out. The other ones mounted with the included 3m adhesive mount. That one has never fallen off. Going to switch the suction cup out for the adhesive mount. Bonus the adhesive mount also takes up a lot less space. Going on 2 years with one camera and no problems. Other camera is almost a year old.

I have the first one and the video at night was better than 2 others I tried. The suction cup does fall off in a hot day in Florida. And the camera only works when the ignition is on, unlike some of the other ones that have motion detector and will start recording if you car gets hit

Ok, When they say "Night Vision"

They really mean, Blurry Dark patches that are slightly LESS BLURRY than the average Dash Cam..

So... Yea.. Keep that in mind..
