Highly recommend title for those that play the original Ratchet & Clank on the PS2. This title will take up ~26.25GB in size to download. Offer valid through August 28, 2018 or while promotion last. - Discombobulated

Even for those that missed it when it was free, this information could still be useful. As you said, Sony doesn't tend to double dip on the free games. Therefore anyone considering this purchase can do so knowing that they are unlikely to miss it for free at a later date.
For the record, this is a great game. I played through it 2-3 times to be able to do everything. It's half platforming, half 3rd person shooter. There are a bunch of crazy weapons that are each fun in their own way and they upgrade as you use them. It's also one of the nicest looking games around. I highly recommend if this is your kind of thing.

TU and great game. If you have a PS4 Pro this is a great game to show off your console and fund to play. I've played through twice already.

To compare it to mario: its a much more story driven platformer. I have yet to play odyssey, but this is a good game. Unlike most platformers which are knee deep in plot and aimed primarily at children, it has a very silly movie overtone (since its based on the movie based on the older games) and you'll be laughing as you roll around with the dynamic combat system.
played probably 20+ hrs and rage-quit at some boss that was shooting rockets at me and haven't gone back to it haha
It likely never will be free again, because as far as I know, PS+ does not repeat free offerings.
So for those that don't have the game yet, it is the best available price as of now - without using a time machine.
