Somehow I still found car air vent holders more practical as the phone will overheat if put om top of dash

These won't mess up your dash, but because that section has been covered up by the sun for a very long time there will be a color difference once you decide to remove. I've had one on for 2years then took it off, now I have a circular spot. I would recommend a windshield or a vent one instead

i live in vegas with these 120degree heat+ when parked outdoor it goes as high as 140

as long as your initial application was clean and done right they will hold for years

thats a good point. right now. i am using a custom vent mount that i made from 2 different mount kits. and i do like the fact that the AC blows on it when im using it. ill grab my phone and it will be COLD! even after charging and using nav at the same time.

i bought both just to try. i figure i can use the rectangle somewhere else. like in my home on a mirror or on the wall next to my desk or something random.

I have been using it for years. Note 3, S7E, iphone 7 and 7+.

Honestly, they all had small issues here and there but I dont think it was related to magnets. Only hardware issue that i experienced was speaker on iphone 7 and GPS accuracy on note 3. But these are common issues according to research and cant really pinpoint to the magnet

What about winter time? I always worry about having the heat on which then blasts the back of the phone causing it to overheat. Any issues in that regard?
