It's back again. $125 off $250+ in service. Good til September 30th. Not as good as last time when it was $130 off, but I think we'll all survive.

At MB, Insane-$125=Outrageous
Look, I drive a 2004 S500 with 180k miles and does 95% of the work myself. For a car that was 95k 14 years ago I have purchased it last year for less than 5% of what it cost new.

If you're not mechanically inclined to maintain Mercedes yourself OR have shitload of money to afford "outrageous" maintenance cost at the dealer, you shouldn't own one.

Sure it costs a lot to maintain these vehicles but you get what you pay for. I'm not necessarily saying the cost is justified for everyone but they are sure nice to drive and look at, at least for me. And given that I bought an older model with high miles, I got a great deal(initial purchase price) and doing maintenance myself have saved thousands of dollars compared to taking it to the dealer. Currently it has most of the front suspension components replaced and it drives real nice.

For oil changes I like to buy oil from Costco and take it to $19.99/24.99 oil change shop and have them change with oil I bring and let them use their "included" oil filter. It comes out less than $60 all together.

Many maintenance items are manageable at home with right tools and there are lots of DIYs you can find online or you can even buy a manual.

I really hope this thread doesn't blow up with hatred towards Mercedes owners and dealer's high price(yes, I too feel like that dealers service cost is outrageously expensive) like the last time service coupon was posted.
Totally agreed . Got my 2017 c300 for 250 per month 12k - 2 years

Thanks OP. Was just wondering when this was going to be available.

Any ideas if this works for brakes? Terms state vehicle maintenance and was not sure if brakes are included in their definition of maintenance.

Yes, I would guess that any service you do at the dealer would be covered. Maybe they won't cover the parts, but the labor would be covered. I think someone tried it on just a spare key and it didn't work for just that.

It would be better if you go to an independent mechanic because this $125 would not make much of a difference specially with their charges for anything.

So true. Why on earth would a slickdeals user ever buy a Mercedes? We all love to hate chinese crap, what about over priced german crap? Mercedes/BMWs are just money pitts down the drain.

I cant comprehend why any one would want to throw their money away.
