Limit 1 rebate per household, rebate is valid on purchases made from 8/1/18 to 8/31/18.
This deal is $20 cheaper than the previous FP deal for this card. ~SaltyOne
Also avoid the RX 580 Armor MK2 8G OC from Msi. I currently have that one and it run pretty hot when gaming and even at idle its temperatures are between 45 and 55 degrees.
Just by looking at the picture you can figure out how poor the air circulation is.

The customer reviews are pretty bad. Does anyone know if it's just this specific msi card, or all rx 580s? Some Newegg 1 stars comment on system instability.

if you think 35 people represents the universe of people who bought this card... - that's not even a scientifically meaningful sample size. Looks like most folks bought it when it was way higher and didn't bother to install new drivers or tweak it. In short 10 people couldn't make it play - you can say that about any tech item.

You can undetvolt it over 100mv easily and the heat becomes more or less in line with 1060. Tho id still get 1060 out of box unless freesync is necessaey

You know small sample size can still be representative if it is controlled and designed properly. Regardless, even without the reviews, you can somewhat expect the issues given that rx580 gets hot and this has 1 fan.
it can if airflow in your case sucks, and if the blower design runs counter to the design of the case. lending credence to reviews of 10 or 20 is just being chicken little.
again common sense over knee-jerk reactions. just being a review lemming doesn't mean you've done any research or analysis.

I have version 2 of this card and runs very well. They said that they updated the fan

I have version 2 and it's out for RMA. Temperatures while gaming were almost 80C. Seems reasonable so I dont know why I started getting artifacts then it blacked out entirely. I really regret the purchase.

I might got lucky or just not a heavy gamer since I didn't have anything similar. And wait... I currently have the EVGA 1080 and playing Mass effect adromada is giving an insane artifacts all over the place randomly and mostly during cutscenes.. Is that usually a hardware problem? How can I test it to make sure.
As folks have stated run afterburner and tweak the fan so it doesn't play catchup - basic common sense. DUH,
don't expect miracles if it's being stuffed into a crap HP case

Common sense huh? What about common knowledge? These cards are known to run hot. I had one. Does my experience count. Hell I undervolted my Asus Dual (fans) RX480 to keeps temps, and the fans down. Loved their software, and the card is great at 1080p even undervolted.
As far as this deal goes... Can you sell the bundle? How much do they sell for? To me it's only worth it if you wanted those games if you can't sell them. It's definitely not worth the $220 it would cost me here in CA (tax) when I can get a GTX 1070 for that on ebay. Hint: Wait for next coupon, and research if you buy used stuff.
Remember kids, unless you are invested in Freesync, there is no reason to pay these inflated prices for AMD. They are priced for miners, not gamers. I'd skip this, and the 1060 at these prices, and jump to the GTX 1070. This was once a mid range card that is now going to be a lower tier card. No reason to pay over $150 for that kind of performance.

It's the one fan model specifically.
