This is a great deal. Just buy with Discover and price match to one of those scam sites

Maybe put OLED TV in the title to trigger some deal alerts.

QVC is tax for most, yes? If so, you can probably get a C8 for this B8 + tax price.

I recently just bought an OLED television where I replaced my aging Sharp 3D Aquos TV.

LG's OLED series are separated by the following: B, C, E, W and then followed by the year the model came out. For example, this deal is a B8 which means it's the B series from 2018.

All displays are apparently the same across the board, it's the finish and processor which separates them. I believe if I remember correctly, C, E, W all use the same processor whereas the B uses a different processor to keep the MSRP down.

You can't go wrong with OLED. When I was shopping around, I was watching Samsung's QLED demo and then immediately after I watched LG's OLED demo. From my vantage point, QLED was more muted and dull when compared to OLED. When I saw the stark differences, I was sold.

I personally just bought an E8 for $2500 from an authorized retailer, which makes this B8 right on the money, since a C8 was advertised for $2200 from the same authorized retailer I used.

Now, I personally don't know what happens if you do not get it from an authorized retailer so I can't share anything with that. However, QVC already is reputable. There were some websites offering way below MSRP, but if you research that company you'll see a litany of complaints.

Anyways, I hope this helps.

The C8 should hit this price in the next couple months. Not sure if this is worth the downgrade. Any thoughts?

You can already get the C8 for $2200 from an authorized retailer now.

If you use the TV's OS, I would definitely get the upgraded processor.

Where did you get the E8 for 2500? I am in the market and would love to get it at the same price...

How did it die? Was it an oled? Seems odd that would happen out of the blue.

The manufacturer warranty is 1 year (standard). Many CC issuers -- such as AmEx, and most Citi cards, FIDO (now managed by Elan), some WF cards offer extended warranty protection (it's a free benefit); notable exception is Discover and some Chase cards. Separately, independent of card issuer, Visa Signature and Mastercard World/WE offers their own EW protection.

Some may want to invest in SQ warranty from Costco
