Mayans M.C.--Spinoff of Sons of Anarchy starts tonight.

I just posted a reply in the Sons of Anarchy thread but didn't realize it is archived.
It's been a long wait but the spinoff from Sons of Anarchy begins with the pilot of Mayans M.C. on FX tonight. Not sure what to expect but I won't be surprised if it is a letdown since it would be hard to follow the amazing series that Sons of Anarchy was.
I am going to try to remain optimistic because I really want it to succeed. The talk of the Mayans being a prequel to the original didn't turn out to be the case. It sounds like it will be "a post-Jax Teller world" according to one review [nytimes.com].
Hopefully this will be worth the wait.
