I find this comment funny since my brand new Blendtec smokes and walks, but it's more that I like thick smoothies. I blew my old on out after ~1700 cycles and I run it 2x per mix.
I've owned this blender for about eight months and never regretted my buying decision. After years of buying cheap blenders only to have them not blend thoroughly, "walk" on the counter, or the motors smoking and burning out, I decided to buy a machine that will last and do a good job. I narrowed my choice down to a Vitamix or a Kitchenaid Pro Line. Nothing against Vitamix, they're excellent blenders, but when I saw the Kitchenaid in a store I was sold. This thing is built like a tank! VERY HEAVY with an industrial power cord to handle the powerful motor. Whatever I put in it blends perfectly smooth with no remaining pulp or seeds. The machine will never vibrate or "walk" on your counter. The first time you lift it you'll know you bought a real beast. Downside? It has a large footprint so it'll take up a good amount of counter space. It's not something you'll want to move back and forth from a pantry on a regular basis, it's that heavy.
If you're looking for a heavy duty blender that will be your last purchase, this one is well worth the price tag. And oh yeah, it comes with a full ten year warranty.

Got this on an earlier deal and have used it for a few weeks now and really like it. I've never owned a Vitamix or Blendtec so I can't compare there but it handles green smoothies perfectly and blends in the ultra-fine super food powder with no issues. Before this blender I was using a Nutri-bullet and this is head and shoulders over that. Less hassle on cleaning, much quieter, way better blending, able to handle more stuff. I really don't think you can go wrong with this blender at this price, it's awesome.
The base for this thing is huge though, it's almost as big as our instant pot.

This just seems gigantic, and having been out almost a year, zero amazon reviews and 4 bestbuy reviews seem shady to me.
